2017 FIRST Scholarships – for students interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
BestMattressReviews.com Sleep Scholarship – $1000 scholarship awarded to current high school seniors 3.0 gpa. Create a video and google doc about the importance of sleep as a public health issue. See application for more details. Deadline: May 19, 2017
Camilla G. Belser Memorial Scholarship Fund – A $2500 renewable scholarship to a student who will be attending Nassau or Suffolk Community College. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit a copy of the FAFSA Student Aid report. An essay, letters of recommendation and SAT and ACT scores are also needed. Deadline: May 8, 2017
Dreams For Youth Scholarship Program 2017 – Academic scholarship of up to $5000. Enrichment scholarship of up to $2500. See the application for details of what is needed to apply for each scholarship. Deadline: April 24, 2017
Duke Ellington Memorial College Scholarship – Two scholarships (a $3000 and a $2000 scholarship) will be awarded in 2017. The primary consideration for the award is the performance of “good deeds” or community service. Scholastic achievement and financial need are also considered. Deadline: May 5, 2017
East End Detachment Marine Corps League – The applicant must be a sibling or descendant of a Marine who honorably served. Applications must be received by May 1, 2017.
East End Livestock and Horseman’s Association Scholarship – Two $1000 scholarships given to graduating seniors of the five east end towns. Applicant must be entering the field of veterinary medicine or a program associated with the care and management in animal-related fields. Deadline for applications is May 22, 2017.
East End Women’s Network Scholarship – The East End Women’s Network scholarship program honors three deserving high school woman graduates who have made a significant and positive difference in their community through their actions and leadership. Applications must be received by April 15, 2017.
Hampton Theatre Company Scholarship – Scholarships of up to $1500 to graduating seniors who have shown outstanding ability and commitment in theater arts, and who plan to further their theater education after graduation. Application deadline is April 1, 2017.
H2M Architects + Engineers Scholarship – Six $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors interested in pursuing education in a STEM program and who plans to enter a career in architecture, engineering, planning, land surveying, landscape architecture or environmental science. Deadline: March 31, 2017
Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons Scholarship 2017 – Acceptance or enrollment in a degree or professional training program focused on horticulture or related fields including botany, landscape architecture, garden design, ornamental horticulture, agriculture and environmental science. Preference is given to residents of the five Eastern Towns. Deadline: April 22, 2017
Jack and Jill of America Inc. Kathleen Taylor Memorial Community Service Scholarship – Community service scholarship. Essay and community service activities and extracurricular activities. Deadline: April 1, 2017
Lioness Club of the Hamptons Scholarship – a one time $1,000 award open to any graduating senior residing in the Town of Southampton or the Town of East Hampton. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2017
LongHouse Scholarship Award – one $3000 award to a high school graduating senior from Long Island who either submitted to the Student Annual or participated at an internship at LongHouse. Deadline April 7, 2017.
Long Island Fair Agricultural Society of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties Inc. – Ten $1000 scholarships awarded to provide financial assistance to students who have been active in their local fairs or outdoor amusement business who are pursuing a degree. Please note the application MUST be downloaded from www.nyfairs.org, printed, completed and signed by the applicant and a parent or guardian. Deadline: April 8 2017.
O’Keeffe Scholarship 2017 – Top third of class, potential for academic success. All applications need to go through Mrs. Doscher. $3000 per year for four years. Deadline: April 10, 2017
Professional Nurses Association of Suffolk County -$1000 scholarship for a graduating senior who is entering an accredited professional nursing (RN) program. Deadline: April 15, 2017
PWGC 2017 Scholarship Program – one $750 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to students who plan to major in one of the Sciences or Engineering. Deadline: May 5, 2017
Solon Society Inc. 2017 Scholarship – Five $3000 scholarships to applicants of Hellenic descent who are currently in their senior year of high school. Emphasis will be placed on academic achievement, financial need and extracurricular activities. Application deadline: April 24, 2017.
LI2Day Scholarship – $2500 Scholarship awarded to 5 graduating Seniors in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The student must reside with a parent/guardian who is a survivor of a women’s cancer, or have resided with a parent/guardian who has passed from a women’s cancer. – Deadline April 1, 2017
Maria A. Sciara Scholarship – $2000 Scholarship awarded to 3 graduating Seniors in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, aspiring to become a teacher, but not necessarily a criteria. The student must reside with a parent/guardian who is a survivor of any cancer or have resided with a parent/guardian who has passed from any cancer. – Deadline April 1, 2017
Theatre Three Productions Julie Peierls Scholarship – An annual scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a graduating senior from Long Island who plans to purse a a career in the professional theatre and will be majoring in Theatre or Musical Theatre. Application Deadline: June 1, 2017.
Grade 9-12 Program of Studies for 2016-2017 – The High School Program of Studies outlines the academic programs and courses of study offered to students for the next school year. Many courses are a result of New York State requirements; others find their origin in special staff talents; while still others are initiated by the interests, needs, and concerns of students.

Four Year High School Plan – These points offer guidance in terms of planning a successful four-year journey through high school.
Working Papers: The Guidance Office can assist with issuing employment certificates and permits to qualified applicants (i.e. minors under age 18). Please contact Mrs. Souhrada in the Guidance Office for an appointment. The application for permits for students ages 14-17 can be found on the New York State Education Department, Form AT-17.
A Student Transcript Release Form must be filled out and sent to the Guidance Office.
